Tap water contains | | Carbon Filter Reduces | | Still in the Water |
Dissolved solids get into our water during the hydrologic cycle. As rain water hits the ground it will dissolve whatever it comes in contact with. When the water comes in contact with calcium it makes hard water. What else can the water come in contact with? Dead plants and animals form organic compounds, animal or human waste form nitrates. Lead, arsenic, trash or anything else in the ground will get into the water as well.
Bottled Water
Recently in the news bottled water has been getting lots of bad press. Studies have been showing that bottled water doesn't have to be any better than tap water from a regulatory stand. This is true.
It's not good for the environment, because of oil dependence and waste. In carefully staged taste tests New York tap water will taste better than most bottled waters. Staged tests against the best quality water in the nation does not fairly compare to quality bottled waters like Aquafina and our central coast tap water.
"I would rather drink bottled Aquafina any day of the week than my tap water. Fortunately I have a Hague H3500 Reverse Osmosis system which produces Aquafina quality purified water conveniently in my home for all my drinking and cooking."
Eric Foronjy, Los Osos CA
Bottled water is the most expensive, least convenient way to get quality purified drinking and cooking water.
Reverse Osmosis
Reverse osmosis systems have different configurations for different purposes. Reverse osmosis systems designed for municipal water don't necessarily work on a private well. Our systems are designed for your specific water type and problem.

Tap water contains | | Reverse Osmosis Reduces | | All that's left in your water |
Reverse Osmosis Systems contain carbon filters to remove chlorine, organic chemicals, pesticides and herbicides. They also contain a membrane that is designed to reduce dissolved solids.
Proper filtration is the key to removing the contaminants from our drinking water. In the absence of a filter, or in the absence of the right filter, you are the filter. Our bodies work hard enough as it is without having to remove contaminants from our water. It is imperative you use the right filter - not just any filter.
Reverse Osmosis filters usually need to be changed once a year. If you saw with your own eyes all that these filters have removed from the water there would be no doubt in your mind that your body has had an easier job. With reverse osmosis doing the work.
Our kidneys and liver are our body's filters. They are not easily replaced. Fortunately reverse osmosis filters are easily replaced and inexpensive.
A simple filter like a carbon filter can only reduce chlorine and some organic compounds that are in the water. They do not remove dissolved solids.
